I have been using the gas formula for three tankfuls in my Trailblazer and it helped significantly improving the sluggishness and hesitation in a couple tanks' time. So if there is a price difference, I would say the gas treatment is good enough. I should add I have never felt a tangible improvement in additives much before unless the engine was badly fouled.
I am using the diesel treatment in my Bird. It seems to have reduced the white smoke in winter a bit. I am no longer able to launch trench warfare against my neighboring campers under cover of smoke and must devise new tactics.
I am beginning to detect a loss of mileage. Can't say if that is an additive problem yet, and I don't see why it should be if it were. The engine is 29 years old, but it runs fine. Perhaps I have consumed all the "heavies" in the tank and am left with only "lights" to burn. Or perhaps the refineries are selling lighter fuel.
